Galaxium was originally started in 2003 by Adam Peck and Philippe Durand, students of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Now it is actively being worked on by Philippe Durand, Ben Motmans and Paul Burton.

Galaxium 0.7.4 Release Notes:
- Address book caching in MSN protocol. Should allow quicker subsequent log-ins and noticeable speed improvements for large contact lists.
- Dialog boxes fixed for move/copy contacts and add contact.
- Fixed transfer dialog window accepting input from typing in chat with a friend and declining file transfers.
- Updated the notification bubble details to show more descriptive information.
- Updated the file transfers window. Looks nicer and has more descriptive information.
- Now have more control to cancel transfers that fail when starting.
- Added several GUI related enhancements from suggestions on our site.
- Updated proxy preferences, includes SOCKS5 and HTTP tunneling (anonymous only).
Proxy settings are now available and have been tested with the help of one of our users (Merci David!). We are now able to use anonymous SOCKS5/HTTPS/HTTP proxy servers. As well, you can enable HTTP tunnelling by selecting "Use same for all protocols".
We have updated several aspects of the interface based on user requests and suggestions and are still trying to make sure everything is working and stable. We appreciate everyones assistance and the great response from users!
Used as a preview to get people interested in Galaxium and show them what we are doing in a (hopefully) stable environment using MSN. If you want to check out other protocols or the current development, check out the development homepage.
